What is BodyTite?

BodyTite is an advanced, new treatment option for anyone who wants to eliminate excess fat and shape their body without undergoing significant surgery. Excess fat deposits and skin laxity can persist even with the most diligent exercise and diet routines.

Liposuction and tissue excision are common procedures to combat this problem, but they do require you to dedicate time to recovery. At the same time, minimally invasive liposuction removes the excess fat permanently. Am I a Good Candidate for BodyTite?

The best candidates for a BodyTite treatment are people who have stabilized their weight for at least three months. BodyTite cannot prevent new fat from forming, so you must be at or near your goal weight — and be committed to staying there — to see optimal results. Having realistic expectations for the procedure is key to satisfaction with the experience.

BodyTite is considered much safer than more invasive surgeries, but it does still have some risks. If you take any medicines, vitamins, or supplements that interfere with your blood’s ability to clot, make sure your Marina MedSpa provider is aware. If you have any major medical conditions (i.e., cancer, heart disease) or any active infections, BodyTite may not be the right treatment for you. We always advise that you consult with your regular doctor before undergoing any elective procedure.

How do I know if BodyTite is right for me?

The BodyTite Procedure

It may vary depending on the extent of your treatment plan, but most BodyTite treatments take less than an hour. While you will be fully conscious and aware following your procedure, you may consider having a friend or family member available to drive you home to minimize your discomfort.

The procedure begins with your aesthetic provider applying a local anesthetic to the targeted area. Once it is in effect, they will make a small incision and insert the BodyTite device. They will activate the device, and it will begin administering precise pulses of RF energy to your skin and tissue. This energy gently heats the skin, stimulating collagen and fibrin production while liquefying fat cells. A tube attached to the device applies gentle suction to remove this excess fat. This process may be repeated at multiple incision sites depending on the scope of your treatment plan. Once complete, the incisions will be closed, and compression bandages will be applied.

BodyTite Recovery

Recovery from your BodyTite procedure usually takes less than a week. In the first few days, you will probably experience some tenderness, swelling, and discoloration at the incision sites. The compression bandages, a cold compress, and over-the-counter medication will typically alleviate any discomfort you experience, but your cosmetic care provider will give you detailed aftercare instructions.

Strenuous activity should be avoided for the first few days to allow your body to heal itself. Most patients can return to their normal routines after 48 hours or so, but it may take up to a month to see your final results.

Your BodyTite Results
